The international academic activities of Prof. Krzysztof Górski are rooted in the conviction that modern automotive engineering is not just about technology, but above all, about a dialogue that transcends national borders and cultural barriers. In the projects presented here, scientific rigor meets a profound respect for diversity, forming the foundation for long-standing, cross-border friendships. It is these personal relationships and the trust built over the years with partners from Europe and Asia that transform education into a vibrant platform for exchanging experiences.

This archive documents initiatives that have tangibly improved the quality of student education on an international scale. Projects such as GRESATRA, E-DriveTour, and the Erasmus+ Automotive Academy represent a significant contribution by the University of Radom to the development of the European engineering space. By documenting these efforts, we demonstrate the value of an open university, where the exchange of ideas and mutual inspiration stimulate growth. This collection proves that through partnership-based cooperation, regional educational innovations can become part of a global response to the challenges of the modern world.

Green and Safe Road Transport in Local Communities (GRESATRA). Project code: 2013-2-PL1-ERA10-39488

The international program „GRESATRA” was conceived, developed, and coordinated by Prof. Krzysztof Górski. It was carried out between 2013 and 2015 at the Kazimierz Pułaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom. The project, co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus program, involved two of the university’s faculties: the Faculty of Transport and Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The project was prepared in Radom and Thessaloniki by a core team consisting of Prof. Krzysztof Górski (Coordinator), Ewa Rybińska (Head of International Relations) and Prof. Theodoros Kosmanis from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (now the International Hellenic University).

Participants of the GRESATRA project organizational meeting, Thessaloniki, November 21, 2013.

Its first edition, inaugurated on April 8, 2013, brought together a total of 34 students and 11 lecturers from six European countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, and Slovakia.

A unique feature of the project was the integration of theory with industrial practice, exemplified by close cooperation with the Municipal Transport Company (MPK) in Radom. Students participated in study visits, laboratory sessions, and workshops, which allowed them to confront academic knowledge with the real-world challenges of urban infrastructure.

The project was funded by the EU in the frame of Erasmus Plus Knowledge Alliances Key Action 2. It has a duration of 3 years, starting from January 2020 until December 2022.

E-DRIVETOUR project aims to develop an advanced interactive course related to Sustainable Electrical Mobility Engineering that would train individuals with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the electrical automotive industry. The project’s kick-off meeting took place in Thessaloniki on January 17, 2020. Representing UTH Radom were: Prof. Krzysztof Górski (Coordinator), Prof. Andrzej Puchalski, and Prof. Iwona Komorska.

The final part of the Edrivetour project implementation was significantly hampered by the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic at the time. This made it impossible to carry out the physical mobility of students and teachers. Despite this, the Edrivetour project was successfully completed in 2022. At the same time, despite restrictions on movement, an educational initiative called the Erasmus+ Automotive Academy was launched. During the COVID-19 period, it allowed for the maintenance and even development, of international educational cooperation in the field of automotive engineering.
